J.N. “Ding” Darling (1876-1962) is remembered as a pioneer conservationist who created many of the key institutions that continue to preserve our nation’s precious natural resources. During his lifetime, however, “Ding” was famous for his editorial cartoons, which appeared in approximately 150 major newspapers throughtout the US and earned him two Pulitzer Prizes.
