Pete Carmichael has provided marvelous photographs for this Florida’s Fabulous Seashells book. Most shells are found on sandy beaches and are described in that order. There are shells which are rarely found on sandy beaches and in this book have been classified and described in the habitat where they are most commonly found. The wide variations in color make jingle shells fun to collect. Also, the translucent quality of the thin shells makes them very useful in shell craft - a handful of jingle shells will make a jingling sound if shaken, hence their name. 9"x 12", 112 pages, World Publications, 2005, ISBN 0-911977-05-8.
